Water Tower - was build In 1900. It is entirely made of red brick. The main water tank is a leveling device, made of zinc plate. It is located in a dome designed by engineer Otto INTZE (1843- 1904). It consisted of 200 m3 of water. It was delivered to the height of about 25 meters (from base) and was distributed to the whole town by its water supply system. Despite its simple principle, it was in those days proof of the town’s progress and development. For 96 years the Tower had supplied Gizycko with running water, until the reconstruction of the water supply system in 1997 (the level of water in the new water tank on Le?na Street is 10 meters higher). Its Gothic revival style, with the interesting external dome around its crown is especially worth seeing. It differs from technically similar buildings in the old East Prussia region The Mazurian and the cities crests, visible above the entrance, also identified the Tower with local reality. After 96 years The Water Tower found its new appearance. Bought on 28.10.1996 by a local businessman Mr. Henryk Górny it has been subjected to a major renovation and internal rebuilding. It has become a unique tourist attraction.
